As the husband-and-wife duo behind Tindall Architecture Workshop, Matt and Julie have transformed the concept of your typical residential architecture firm into something that feels more like working with close friends. From new construction of any style of home–modern or rustic, Contemporary or Farmhouse–to renovations and additions, Matt and Julie have you covered.
Matt Tindall
Architect and Boss (or so he thinks)
Matt Tindall's professional career has only been that of an architect. Residential design is his passion and it's what he's really, really good at. He has worked at large and small firms, designing both commercial and residential spaces. However, after a health scare, Matt decided to make a change. He started TAW and hasn't missed the corporate nonsense for a second. If you call him after 5:00, he's most likely at his son's soccer match or playing basketball with his daughter. Or maybe he's on the porch having a glass of wine with Julie. Matt knows that his work and his family are equally deserving of his time and attention.
You will see in your first meeting with Matt that he's a straight shooter. He is dedicated to good work, great design, and lasting relationships. Matt provides the experience you need when considering an architect. Matt currently sits on the Clemson Architecture Foundation board and is past president of the Greenville Chapter of CRAN (Custom Residential Architects Network).
Julie Tindall
The Real Boss
When you contact Tindall Architecture Workshop, you’ll most certainly speak to Julie Tindall. Julie’s gone from a full-time cardiac nurse to financial guru, logistics master, and chaos keeper. She is the ultimate office manager, keeping Matt on schedule and is the magic behind the curtain.
Julie is far more glamorous than her job description. She is loyal and devoted to her clients and does anything it takes to run the family business. She adores her children, and 99 percent of the time loves working with Matt. Julie can be seen around Greenville volunteering at Buncombe Street Methodist Church, League Academy, Greenville’s American Heart Association, and the local community pool. She loves an impromptu happy hour and excels in naps.
Jeni Jones
Interior Designer
Adding a new layer to TAW, Jeni is not a pillow fluffing decorator, but a trained interior designer. Jeni has been a high end residential interior designer since graduating from Converse College with an interior design degree. Being from the New Orleans area, detailed architecture has always inspired Jeni. Not only has Jeni worked in new construction and renovation design, but she has also gotten her hands dirty by fully renovating her own house. You can usually catch her working on projects around the house with her “helper” puppy Mia or out cruising the lake with her boyfriend, Brad.
Jeni believes that the key to being a good interior designer is being a good problem solver and finding a balance of form and function. Jeni has been a member of IIDA (International Interior Design Association) and ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and is currently on the board of CRAN Greenville (Custom Residential Architects Network).
“My wife and I had been looking for a new build in downtown Greenville (SC) and found TAW through a realtor friend's recommendation - we could not be happier with Matt Tindal's design skills, technical expertise, friendly approach and continued presence in helping us through the building process!”
